Overview

Hello Somatic Colleagues,  I will be offering a Somatic Mentoring Group for therapists who want to know more about applying body based strategies to help clients integrate the impact of traumas and early attachment wounds. I’ve been in the field using clinical application of neuroscience for many decades and I’ll be sharing my knowledge and experiences of working with PTSD and insecure Attachment Styles. Let’s join together for a month-long growth experience.  

I’ll start our 90-minute class with either an embodiment Guided Meditation or a brief interactive practice, and then we’ll be ready for Case Reviews with Q & A discussion.  I love integrating what I’ve absorbed from the many amazing teachers and brilliant minds that I’ve worked with, such as Peter Levine, Raja Selvam, Kathy Kain, Gabor Maté and Diane Poole Heller.  This format will generate loads of good questions about application of the polyvagal theory and how that informs us therapeutically. 

This consultation group will be developmentally based and include somatic languaging to establish safety in the felt sense, working with frozen inner child states, coupling dynamics, facilitating healthy secure relating and ways to identify vagus states during therapeutic process- as well as what the brilliance of our Collective We-Space brings. You will bring case(s) and burning questions to present and I’ll problem-solve strategies that could be helpful.  Being together for a month-long process will offer continuity and integration of concepts, as well as followup to the cases you present.  After each class I may send out a relevant video, podcast or article to support your learning. 

If you are a neuroscience geek, you’ll probably enjoy this program. 

Is this for you?  Most likely, if you have taken at least the Beginning year of SE, DARe or any other trauma informed, somatically based curriculum and have an active caseload of at least 8 clients.  It won’t be geared for therapists who are fresh new to somatic applications. 

These hours can apply for the Somatic Experiencing and DARe Training Certificate Requirements.  I am approved through the 3-year SE training and taught all DARe modules for more than 9 years .  i.e. 90 minutes of group consultation = 1.5 hour credit
